Chagford is such a beautiful scenic place, it would be a waste to not enjoy it. Our staff are all local and know the area like the back of their hands. Who better to ask for advice, whether its the shortest of walks along the river, or the more challenging - we know places on and off the beaten track that you would enjoy. Being situated right in the middle of 'The Two Moors Way' , and also close by is 'The Mariners Way', we are lucky enough to be surrounded by lovely walks, and cycle rides.

We are able to keep bikes (or any other important equipment) locked overnight in sheds for those that are staying with us. Please let us know before hand, and we can make arrangements for when you arrive.

Also, Just down the road (the luxuries of Chagford being such a small town) we have the Bike Fixer. A local man named Frank who has set up his own business. He can help if any problems occur, and will help get your bike back on the road as quickly as possible. He is also able to rent out bikes to anyone visiting Chagford, but this would need to be confirmed with him beforehand, so that the bikes are all ready and waiting for you.

Just next door are the famous shops of 'Webbers' and 'Bowdens', which are jam packed full of kit for walkers, and anything else you could imagine. So, if you left anything behind when visiting, they are the places to go. Dartmoor can be a very dangerous place if not prepared, and here they have everything you need to stay safe.

Here at the Ring O' Bells we strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible, with local staff on hand who can direct and advise on some amazing attractions you simply have to see. Book in the Spring, or Summer to see Dartmoor in all it's green flowering beauty. Or, Book in Autumn and Winter to see the beautiful fall or a blanket of white snow glistening under a morning sunrise. Chagford is truly a beautiful place to visit.
