FORTHCOMING EVENTS

Well 2012 is here and we have started compiling a music programme to see us through the year.  New Year's Eve was a huge success and we pleased to be able to tell you that Wille and the Bandits are coming back to play for us again in April.

Our first event this year is on

Friday 27th January

A return visit from The Monkey Gland Blues Band who were highly entertaining when they played in July last year.

Wednesday 1st February

Hot Club du Square - James Goodwin and Peter Shields with gypsy jazz instrumentals and Swing Era songs.  This event starting at 8.30 pm

Friday 17th February

Becky Mills and Patsy Matheson come highly recommended.  Formerly with the band Waking the Witch they are now touring as a duo and we are really looking forward to their performance

Saturday 17th March - Paddy's Day -

It's here again and this time we are being joined by The O'Marleys from Exeter.  A first for this local band at The Ring O' Bells but I am sure not the last

Saturday 31st March

Full Moon Fever

Another first for us but recommended by one of our regular customers who heard them play at a local wedding.  I am sure we will not be disappointed

Friday 6th April - Good Friday

Ewan McLennan -  a solo guitarist who has recenly won a Best Folk Singer award from the BBC ( we will find more information for you shortly)

Saturday 7th April

Blue Soule - a local band playing blues music (more information to follow)

Friday 27th April

The return visit of Wille & The Bandits

Friday 4th May

Hamer & Isaacs Gypsy Swing Band - a new band from the Plymouth area whose music sounds great

Saturday 12th May

Simon Kempston - a much travelled guitarist from Edinburgh appearing as a duo

Friday 1st June

Makiwa - a local Reggae Band from Okehampton - hopefully they will get us into the holiday spirit as this is the big Jubilee Weekend

Saturday 2nd June

Stem Roach - return visit of this well knownband from North Tawton

Saturday 23rd June

Claude Bourbon - Something different yet again - a classical guitarist to serenade us with his own style of music.

All these events will commence around 9.00 p.m.

There is space for plenty of other entertainers but we are taking a rain check until the end of March when we will try to complete the programme for the rest of the year.
